VeriQAI rebuilds scanned, source-less and out-of-print STEM texts as accessible HTML + MathML editions, where every equation is real, structured notation a screen reader speaks and a student can explore term by term. Not a picture of an integral.
The one your pipeline stalls on. A student needs an equation-dense or out-of-print STEM title this term, the publisher has no accessible file, and the usual remediation route cannot help, because tagging a PDF does not make its mathematics readable. Standard remediation handles headings, reading order and images. It leaves every equation exactly as unreadable as it found it.
We are not a general document-remediation vendor and we are not cheaper than one. We are the call you make when that route has already failed.
| Math integrity | Every expression must parse and render. Failures block the chapter; flagged expressions go to human review. |
|---|---|
| Render gate | The chapter must build and render cleanly with the mathematics intact end to end. |
| Human fidelity review | A STEM domain expert checks the rendered chapter against the original scans. No chapter ships without a named human sign-off. |
| Your acceptance | You review and formally accept each deliverable before use. This is a required step, not a formality. |
Ambiguous notation is surfaced to you, never silently guessed. If you ask how a particular equation was produced and checked, we can tell you. We do not sell autonomous AI conversion and we do not ship a black box.
A published exemplar: an electromagnetics chapter converted from a genuinely image-only PDF, with zero extractable characters in the source, then checked against the author's original LaTeX and matched character-exact, 30 of 30 expressions. Zero WCAG 2.1 AA violations under axe. Author reviewed and signed. The edition, the audio, and the signed QA record are all public at veriqai.ai.
Each chapter is a single self-contained HTML file, which means there is nothing to install and no dependency to break. Put it in Canvas or your LMS as a file or page, host it wherever you already host alternate-media, or hand the file to the student directly. It opens in any modern browser and works with NVDA + MathCAT, JAWS and VoiceOver.
One practical warning from experience: do not send it as an email attachment. Institutional mail gateways routinely quarantine or strip .html attachments, so the student may never receive it. Post it or link it instead. If your workflow needs a different container, EPUB 3 with MathML for example, say so at intake and we will scope it.
A fixed fee per deliverable, quoted from the actual material once we have seen it, so you get a single number for a requisition rather than an hourly meter. Equation density drives the price far more than page count. A dense chapter typically lands in the low thousands, rush carries a surcharge, and minimum engagement is $750.
We are priced well above per-page document remediation, deliberately. Those services quote per page because they are tagging a file that already has a text layer. This is equation-by-equation transcription from a scan, verified against the source and signed. Same file extension, different work. If a per-page vendor can handle your title, use them. We are for the ones they decline.
Many offices fund this from alternate-media or accommodation budgets.
The lowest-risk way to find out whether this works for you is to hand us a single chapter of a title that is currently stuck. You will see the process, the QA record and the result, with nothing else riding on it.
